McARDLE ASTROTURF DELIVERSWORLD- CLASS SPORTS FACILITIES TO SWANSEA
A world-class sports facility has recently been completed by McArdle AstroTurf at the King George 5th Playing Fields, Swansea.
This comprehensive sports facility offers an unprecedented combination of quality facilities in one location and represents a successful partnership between Swansea City Council and Swansea University.
McArdle AstroTurf were employed to deliver the sports facilities primarily based on an impressive portfolio that includes the 2002 Commonwealth Games and a majority of the World-Class Hockey programme pitches.
The sports facilities comprise 2 no. water-based synthetic turf pitches built to FIH global standards, indoor athletics sports hall synthetic flooring and a 400m 8-lane IAAF non-porous athletics track including jump and field event facilities.
This prestigious project incorporates modern floodlighting technology and a fully automatic Rain Gun irrigation system to both synthetic turf pitches, both disciplines offering performance standards to FIH global criteria.
