 University of Worcester
The University of Worcester officially opened their newly re-surfaced StadiaTurf® pitch installed by McArdle Sport-Tec Ltd in October 2006 by Steve Town, West Midlands Regional Director of Sport England. The new facilities will sit alongside the University’s £3m Sports Centre and Laboratories, which complement the University's highly rated work in Sports and Exercise Science.
The former pitch had begun to show signs of wear, but the new StadiaTurf® sand filled pitch will allow over 1,000 people each week to continue using the facility. Head of Sports and Exercise Science at Worcester, Malcolm Armstrong, said the investment was part of the University’s ongoing commitment to promoting sport, exercise and well being at all levels. |
