Having worked closely with the University of Worcester on this project for a number of years McArdle Sport-Tec were extremely proud to attend the opening of the universities new all weather pitch facility.
A number of events took place on Sunday 3rd October to celebrate the opening of The University of Worcester’s new third generation synthetic turf pitch including the blind soccer festival and under 10’s mini soccer tournament
Craig Williams, Sport & Recreation Facilities Manager said “we were delighted to award the installation contract of the new 3G to McArdle Sport-Tec as we knew from previous experience that the company was extremely professional and well organised in the installation of artificial sports pitches. We are delighted with the installation and the new pitch has been a huge hit with our University football and rugby union programs as well as the community sports team that train with us each week. Once again McArdle Sport Tec have demonstrated their professionalism and delivered an excellent project that has greatly enhanced the sporting facilities at the University of Worcester”.
The official opening was attended by England blind player Lee Greatbach, the Mayor of Worcester, Mike Layland, and University vice-chancellor David Green.
The university received a £232,000 grant from the Football Foundation towards the new facility, where McArdle Sport-Tec installed TigerTurf’s Total Turf surface.
